Dear Pastor, Family and Friends,

“But when the fullness of time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law.  To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons.”  Galatians 4:4-5

What a blessing that we, who were once separated from God by our sin, have been drawn to Him and now, by faith, are the children of God!

As we think back over 2017, it has been a difficult one for us, but through the good times and the bad, God has been there.  We are thankful to the Lord for His goodness, mercy and faithfulness to us throughout this year!

October was an interesting month.  I canceled a meeting in Indiana, to stay home with Debbie, as I didn’t think I should be gone as long as I would have needed to be gone.  However, God did allow me to preach that Sunday, locally.  Later in October, our daughter, Susie, was able to come and stay with Debbie so that I could take a few weeks of meetings.  I was, once again, privileged to be at Wilson Creek Baptist Church in Battlefield, Missouri for their Focus on America Conference.  It is always so encouraging to be there and hear from church planters all over the country who are starting churches.  It gives us hope for America!  The following Sunday, I was able to preach at Valley Bible Baptist Church in Espanola, New Mexico.  I was then able to preach a revival at Lookout Mountain Baptist Church in Phoenix, Arizona.                         On the Amtrak train, going from New Mexico to Phoenix, I was able to talk to a man, for a couple of hours, who was going to Phoenix.  He seemed to be searching, but was confused on salvation.  On Monday night, during the revival at Lookout Mountain Baptist, he and his

girlfriend came to the meeting.  He also took me out for lunch one day to talk to me more about the gospel.  He seemed to really enjoy the service, and wants to go back to the church on a Sunday.  As far as I know, he has not been back, but I have stayed in touch with him, and am encouraging him to go.  His name is Mike.  If you think of him, I would appreciate your prayers for his salvation.  Every time I have taken a train I have had numerous opportunities to witness.  It is a mission field!

In November I had the opportunity to preach at Westlake Baptist Church in Westlake, Ohio.  Please pray for this church, as they raise money for a building.  I was also able to preach at Port Huron Baptist Church in Port Huron, Michigan.                   We appreciate your prayers for our health issues.  Debbie still does not have a hip, because she still has the infection.  She will have bloodwork done this next Monday, and will see the doctor later in the week, so she will find out if it looks like the infection is getting any better.  Please continue to pray for the drop foot.  It gets very discouraging, however, even though she can barely pull her toes up (if any), the physical therapist does see some contractions in the foot and lower leg when she tries.  That was encouraging for her to hear.

I had another MRI on November 5th, and there is no change, so I am on the same treatment I have been on since June, and will go back to Cleveland Clinic for another MRI in January.  We praise the Lord for good news there!

With all that we have been going through this year, we have had some churches and individuals who have helped to meet some needs that we have had, for chemo and other medical expenses, and extra medical expenses for Debbie.  We want to thank you, from the bottom of our hearts, not only for the financial help, but for the prayers, phone calls, notes of encouragement, flowers, cards, gifts.  It has all meant so much to us.  Thank you to those who have taken time from their busy schedules and given me rides to meetings as well.  You all have been such a blessing!  “But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.”  Philippians 4:19

(Publisher’s note: Bro. David has been diagnosed with an inoperable malignant brain tumor nearly fifteen years ago at Cleveland Clinic.  It is a miracle that he is still with us.  Debbie is suffering from many injuries from an auto accident in 1983.  She has had hip surgery again for the third time which won’t heal.   They are much in need of our prayers and support.   Someone who knows how to put a Go Fund Me account for them on the internet, please contact us at drgregdixon@earthlink.net)
